About this course
Great for beginners, newcomers, and those wanting to practice the basics and build consistency! For those wanting to dive in and learn the whole process of wheel throwing, our four week Potter’s Wheel course is for you. Our Beginner’s classes focus on teaching the basics of centering and opening, then practicing pulling a cylinder and shaping it into a bowl, cup, plate, etc. You’ll then learn how to trim and glaze your work. This class is perfect for those that are new and those that are needing to “refresh” after taking some time away from the craft. Ages 18 and up are welcome!

If we have full classes there may not be a wheel available for you to make up on a different date. We do our best to help you find a make up class but please understand that is not a guarantee. If you miss the third week of any wheel class we have to trim or finish up your work for you in order to begin the drying process so your work can be fired during that week so you can glaze it the next class. If you miss that your glaze class you can always join another glaze class as long as there is 10 or less students already in the class. If all glaze classes are maxed out then you will have to join a glaze class the following month.
