About this course

Great for beginners, newcomers, and those wanting to practice the basics and build consistency! For those wanting to dive in and learn the whole process of wheel throwing, our four week Potter’s Wheel course is for you. Our Beginner’s classes focus on teaching the basics of centering and opening, then practicing pulling a cylinder and shaping it into a bowl, cup, plate, etc. You’ll then learn how to trim and glaze your work. This class is perfect for those that are new and those that are needing to “refresh” after taking some time away from the craft. All supplies and materials included. Ages 18 and up are welcome!

NO REFUND CREDITS will be given for any cancellations within 72 hours of the class start time. THIS INCLUDES COVID AND OTHER MEDICAL SITUATIONS. YOU CAN SEND SOMEONE IN YOUR PLACE! Our classes are reserved for adults only at this time Unfortunately due to class sizes we are not able to offer separate make-up classes. If you are not able to attend weeks one or two, you will need to speak to your instructor about staying late the following week. If you miss the third week of any wheel class we will have to trim and finish up your work for you in order to begin the drying process so your work can be fired and ready to glaze in the next class. If you miss that your glaze class you can always join another glaze class as long as there is 10 or less students already in the class. If all glaze classes are maxed out then you will have to join a glaze class the following month.
